K-pop boy band SS501 will join their former agency DSP Media’s first-ever family concert.

The DSP Media’s successful boy group as well as Oh Jong-hyuk of idol band Click-B will heat up the stage during “DSP FESTIVAL – 22nd Anniversary,” set to be held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium on December 14, the music firm announced on Friday.

SS501 put their names on the list of performers including current DSP artist KARA, RAINBOW and A-JAX, while Heo Young Saeng will be missed on the stage since he enlisted in the army to serve mandatory military service yesterday.

Other star acts who started their career at DSP Media, namely 2000s idol groups Sechs Kies and FIN.K.L members are also tuning their appearances in the two-hours-and-half concert.

The profit from the ticket sale of the concert will be donated to multicultural families in need, DSP explained.

DSP Media has revealed an exciting upcoming event, and that is their first family concert titled 'DSP Festival'!

This isn't your average family concert though as it will not only include the current roster of artists but also their former ones who have once called DSP home within the past 22 years since its establishment.

The poster released shows that Oh Jong Hyuk of Click B, SS501, KARA, Rainbow, A-JAX, and more will be attending, piquing interest for the upcoming event. Fans are especially wondering if SS501 will once again be reuniting, perhaps with the exception of those who are enlisted for military service.

A rep revealed, "We're currently negotiating the appearances of not only current artist but stars who have previously been with DSP," raising hopes that this may mean appearances by members of Fin.K.L and Sechskies as well.

The confirmed final line up will be revealed on the day of ticket sales which will take place early in November.

As for the event itself, it'll be held on December 14th at the Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium, so get ready to grab your tickets for those of you in Korea!

Ahead of his military enlistment, Heo Young Saeng promised to work hard to grow and return as a confident man.

Heo Young Saeng enlisted on October 31 at 2PM (KST) at the Nonstop Training Center. After basic training, he will be transferred to become a government-drafted police officer. He is the second SS501 member to go to the army after Kim Kyu Jong.

On his way to the base, Heo Young Saeng had a phone interview, revealing his honest thoughts ahead of his enlistment.

“Since it’s a call from the country, I will be devoted to my time there,” said Heo Young Saeng. “More than anything, when I’m discharged, I’ll be 30. I think it will be a time to look back on everything I’ve done in my life so far.”

“I still have a lot of think about for my future. I believe this will be a time to grow and mature,” said Heo Young Saeng. “Please be waiting for me when I return as a stronger man.”

Heo Young Saeng held his first solo concert, 2013 Heo Young Saeng Seoul Concert 0513 My Story on October 26 at AX Hall, where he interacted with fans for the last time.

“My hearts thinking that I won’t be able to see you for a really long time, but there’s nothing really that we can do, right?” said Heo Young Saeng. “I believe that this concert was a time to comfort all of you.”

At the concert, all five members of SS501 gathe
red together in a really long time.

“The members all asked why I was going so early. After I thought about it, there are a lot of people older than me who haven’t gone to the army yet. But I still wanted to go at 28,” explained Heo Young Saeng. “I’ll hurry and complete the nation’s duties and work hard to return and show a better side of myself to you.”

Meanwhile, Heo Young Saeng debuted in SS501 in 2005 as the main vocal. After the members all signed onto different agencies, he worked as a soloist.

Kim Hyun Joong has been confirmed to be leaving 'Barefoot Friends'.

Kim Hyun Joong's agency Key East Entertainment stated on the 31st, "Kim Hyun Joong plans to leave 'Barefoot Friends'. Due to scheduling conflicts with filming for his drama, he inevitably had to leave. We have already told the production crew about his leave."

Kim Hyun Joong will enter filming for the new KBS 2TV drama 'Generation of Youth' as the lead actor this November. Kim Hyun Joong's leave brought up rumors of the leave of other actors among the cast of 'Barefoot Friends' as Yoon Si Yoon is also in a similar predicament having been cast for the new KBS 2TV drama 'Prime Minister and I' which will air this December.

Yoon Si Yoon's agency Taxi Entertainment however assured fans that he will stay on the show, stating, "We've never discussed anything about his possible leave from 'Barefoot Friends'. Even if he has a drama schedule, the filming takes place during the weekend so there will be no difficulty."

According to a broadcast insider, UEE who is currently filming her new MBC weekend drama 'Golden Rainbow', is also in talks to possibly leave 'Barefoot Friends' but is leaning towards the direction of staying on and trying to work out the schedules.
